Workshop on Population Data Analysis, Storage and Dissemination Technologies

The Statistics Division of the Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (ESCAP) organized a Workshop on Population Data Analysis, Storage and Dissemination Technologies in Bangkok from 27 to 30 March 2001.  This training workshop was a follow-up event to other activities organized under the UNFPA-funded project RAS/96/P12.

The main objectives of the Workshop were to (i) share experiences gained in applying information technology to the collection of the 2000 round census data; (ii) expose participants to the latest technologies in census data analysis, storage and dissemination, and (iii) formulate a set of recommendations for applying new technology to population data analysis, storage and dissemination in ESCAP countries/areas.
