The Fourth Meeting of the Working Party on the Application of New Technology to Population Data

The fourth meeting of the Working Party on the Application of New Technology to Population Data was hosted by National Statistics Office, Philippines at Manila from 6 to 9 July 1999.  It was attended by all the members of the Working Party, a faculty member of the Statistical Institute for Asia and the Pacific (SIAP), and the ESCAP Adviser on Population Statistics of the United Nations Population Fund/Country Support Team (UNFPA/CST) for Central and South Asia.  A number of observers also attended. The focus of the meeting was on the application of mapping and related technologies.
