The First Meeting of the Working Party on the Application of New Technology to Population Data

The first meeting of the Working Party on the Application of New Technology to Population Data was organized by the Statistics Division of ESCAP at Bangkok from 24 to 26 September 1997. It was attended by member experts from Australia, Bangladesh, Indonesia, Japan, Macau, Philippines, Singapore and Thailand. An expert from the United Nations Statistics Division (UNSD), the Director of SIAP, and the ESCAP Adviser on Population Data Processing and Database Management assigned to the United Nations Population Fund/Country Support Team (UNFPA/CST), Bangkok also participated.
