Application of New Technology in Population Data Collection, Processing, Dissemination and Presentation
Working Party on Application of New Technology to Population Data (1997-2001)

To steer activities of the project RAS/96/P12 on the application of new technology in population data collection, processing, dissemination and presentation, a Working Party on the Application of New Technology to Population Data was established in April 1997.  The Working Party held six technical meetings of its own, and played a pivotal role in consolidating the experiences of the countries in the application of new technology to population data, resulting in a large volume of technical documentation.  In addition, the Working Party carried a major substantive responsibility in planning and conducting the two training workshops under the project.

The following experts served in the Working Party from 1997-2001.  Asterisks after the names indicate the nine original members, and the time periods in brackets indicate participation in the Working Party meetings.
