- What purpose do they have?
In order to conform to the demand of development status on disability in China,
the statistics by CDPF aimed at collecting data for the work of persons with disabilities,
such as rehabilitation, education, employment, poverty alleviation, etc., so that the
Chinese government could be kept aware of the development status of disabled persons as
well as the work of persons with disabilities.
- How often are they updated? (continuously, annual, ad hoc, etc.)

- Describe what information on disability is collected

the Chinese government could be kept aware of the development status of disabled
persons as well as he work of persons with disabilities.

Yes.
- What definition of disability is used?
The statistics consists of persons with disabilities as follows: visual
disabilities, hearing disabilities, mental disabilities, physically disabilities, mental
illness and multi-disabilities. Each category has its definition.(But no English edition)
- Are the definitions used in the register(s) compatible with survey or census
definitions? With international standards?
The definitions used in the register(s) are compatible with the definitions used
in the 1987 National Sampling Survey on Persons with Disabilities.
3. Coverage
- What population is covered in the register(s)?
Several millions
- How complete is the coverage? (who is included? who is missed out?)
Disabled persons included in the register(s) are who are covered by the work of persons
with disabilities, such as disabled persons who accept rehabilitation, education,
employment, poverty alleviation, etc.
- How is/are the register(s) evaluated for completeness?
- Manner of updating the register(s)? (automatic from computerised forms,
from paper forms, other?)

4. Highlight some of the strengths and limitations of your administrative register(s)
- Limitations: cannot cover all disabled persons
- Strengths: easy to collect and helpful to the government
