Last update: 26 June 2008
This training supports the project on improving access to survey microdata in Asia and the Pacific, which was under the Accelerated Data Program (ADP). The project was funded by the World Bank Development Grant Facility and managed by the PARIS21 secretariat of OECD. It aimed to improve access to and the utilization of microdata collected through household surveys and censuses.
The purposes of the workshop were to share the experiences gained in the implementation of the ESCAP Microdata Management Project (October 2007 – June 2008), to review the results of the ESCAP survey on microdata management practices among the NSOs of the region, and to highlight the importance of the dissemination of census and survey microdata for research purposes with a view to enhance evidence-based policy making.
