In the context of the United Nations Development Account Project "Interregional Cooperation on the Measurement of Informal Sector and Informal Employment", the Statistics Division of the Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (ESCAP), in collaboration with the Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean (ECLAC) and the Economic and Social Commission for Western Asia (ESCWA), organized a project concluding workshop. The workshop brought together implementing agencies and project countries including survey statisticians and national accountants from project countries who were directly involved in design, implementation and management of project activities; project implementers of the Regional Commissions (ESCAP, ESCWA, ECLAC); members of the project Steering Committee; as well as regional and international statistics development partners. The workshop aimed to review and evaluate the substantive and strategic processes, and the findings and results of the project, in order to consolidate lessons learned, and to identify areas and modalities for further work at the sub-regional, regional and inter-regional levels.
