The workshop was third in a series of training events designed for ESCAP project countries and aimed to present and discuss the project guidelines on how to use 1-2 Survey data to estimate annual HUEM (household unincorporated enterprises with at least some market production) and informal sector value added and on how to integrate these estimates into the current compilation of national accounts; obtain the required information from the project countries on the current compilation of national accounts and discuss how the guidelines could be adapted to each country's situation; and demonstrate how the guidelines could be put into practice and how to implement the estimation procedures using the available 1-2 survey data. This technical workshop was intended for statisticians in project partner countries who were involved in the implementation of the 1-2 surveys especially in data verification and editing; estimation of value added of HUEMs and of informal sector enterprises based on the 1-2 Survey data; and preparation of analytical tables. In addition, it was crucial for nominees to have knowledge of CSPro, Stata and/or other statistical packages.
