available in their country, the collections
currently in place and plans for future developments.
The purpose of the session is to identify similarities
and differences so that countries might learn
from each other and so that the group might
identify areas for future discussion and development.
Delegates should provide a broad description
of their country's activities. |

4: Frameworks for the collection of IT&T
statistics
This session discusses underlying frameworks
for the collection and presentation of statistics
in the IT&T field. The session is divided
into several components to draw out the main
issues relating to frameworks for statistical
work and the setting of statistical standards. |

5: Collection details: scope, methodology, data
items
This session builds on the previous sessions
and is intended to allow countries to describe
their current surveys so that comparisons across
countries can be made. A major aim of the session
is to identify the data items being used by
countries and to discuss where these have been
successful or otherwise. |

6: Common data sets
Using information presented in Sessions 3,
4 and 5, participants identify those areas where
there are common threads and those areas where
it seems important for countries in the Group
to work together to agree on consistent definitions
and standards.
Break-out groups to be established to examine
information from earlier sessions and report
back to the whole Group with proposals for ongoing
work. |

7: Future work by the group
This session will consider the future of the
group and its mode of operation. |
