The meeting was hosted by the Ministry of Statistics and Programme Implementation (MOSPI) of the Government of India in Greater Noida, India on 10-11 October 2011.
The main purpose of the meeting was for the WG-RCST to start discussions on the proposed strategy for the coordination of statistical training programmes in Asia-Pacific. The meeting also reviewed the outputs of the WG-RCST to date, including the results of the assessments of the existing gaps in statistical training in the region and of the priority issues that need to be addressed through improving coordination among training providers and donor agencies.
