This briefing note provides the latest data on trends in regional trade agreements based on the revised and updated Asia-Pacific Trade and Investment Agreements Database (APTIAD). APTIAD was established by ESCAP secretariat in order to provide a useful tool for observers and stakeholders (governments, researchers and policy analysts) to monitor and analyze the development of trade agreements in this new environment.

The agenda on the first day of the training workshop focused on good practices from Germany and South Korea, Bioclimatic Design, Energy Plus Buildings in Thailand, etc. Some of the key technical elements were also highlighted in the presentations. Partner cities like Naga and Danang also presented their case-studies.
A number of presentations focused on the key technical elements of the concept of " Energy-Plus Buildings". A number of case studies from this region as well as from beyond the region also elaborated the co-benefits of such a concept.
