As part of the Asian Highway promotion and development, ESCAP, in consultation with Asian Highway focal points in member States, undertook four prefeasibility studies of Asian Highway priority sections (one in each subregion) to promote investment in the Asian Highway network. The outcome of the studies showcased investment opportunities at an Asian Highway Investment Forum in which donors, international and subregional organizations, and private sector were invited to participate.
