Improved water and wastewater management is internationally recognized as key to achieving internationally agreed development goals (IADGs), millennium development goals (MDGs) and the quality of growth. Promotion of eco-efficient water infrastructure and establishment of an integrated and decentralized water resources management system, including rainwater management are important tools to accomplishing them.
