Publications

ESCAP produces a number of publications each year examining the breadth and implications of economic and social policy making in the Asia and Pacific region. Some are recurring projects issued every one or two years while others reflect a drive for focus on a key priority area over a certain period. Copies of these publications are available here in .pdf format for your consultation and use.

ESCAP Publications

Library

The United Nations ESCAP Library is a specialized collection of United Nations and ESCAP official documents and publications, and books, journals, multimedia and e-resources related to economic and social development in Asia and the Pacific.

The physical collection of the Library includes a stock of approximately 85,000 titles, including monographs, serials, official documents and audio visual materials, all of which are available to ESCAP staff members, UN agency staff and members of the public.

The Library also provides access to a comprehensive collection of electronic resources including commercial databases and full-text electronic resources in a wide variety of subject areas.

Databases

The ESCAP Statistical Database includes country-level data related to demography, migration, education, health, poverty, gender, employment, economy, government finance, employment, transport, and environment. The comparability of indicators across countries and over time is maximized by limiting the data to a single source per indicator and by using well-recognized international data sources. The database also includes aggregate data for the world, major geographic regions, ESCAP subregions, income groupings of ESCAP members, ESCAP LDC countries and ESCAP LLDC countries.
