| This publication offers a pragmatic way for Greater Mekong Subregion (GMS) countries to define and determine their requirements to shape e-business legislation and address such complex issues as: contract validity and enforceability, jurisdiction, privacy, consumer protection, security of transactions, intellectual property, and online fraud. In recognition of the continued economic and social development of the GMS countries hinging on efficient and effective utilization of information and communication technology (ICT), more intensive efforts need to be taken to promote subregional and regional cooperation to harmonize ICT-related legislation. It is hoped that this publication is one step in that direction. |
