This is a collection of stories of community partners working together: individuals, civil society organizations, governments and donors. The collection includes inspiring local responses to the HIV/AIDS challenge. It covers HIV prevention and includes stories on care and support for people living with or affected by HIV/AIDS. The stories also bring to light difficulties that people living with HIV/AIDS, civil society groups and organizations confront – financial hardship, widespread stigma and discrimination, and ignorance. These are challenges that hamper direct action on HIV/AIDS.
