This volume aims at further understanding of the geology, tectonic setting, magmatism and metallogeny of the complex area of collision of the Indian and Indo-Chinese tectonic plates through an overview relevant geoscientific sections in Myanmar.
It consists of an explanatory booklet and two accompanying atlas sheets comprising a geological and a mineral resources maps of Myanmar at a scale of 1:1,500,000.
The review of mineral deposits and occurences is followed by an overview of the current status of the mining industry and the regulatory governmental framework for the development of the mineral sector.
