| This report discusses participatory approaches to planning and development in Bangkok Metropolitan Area on local transport planning. It provides a background of the Rattanakosin Pilot Project aiming at contributing solutions of the traffic and transportation problems. The elements of the participatory planning process are outlined. Various issues related to institutional development are discussed. Action plans to support people's initiatives in urban development and to alleviate traffic/transport problems are presented. |
