The directory is based on a questionnaire developed by ESCAP and includes a subject index ranging from 'Aboriginal Settlement' to 'Women in Development'. Institutes are sorted alphabetically and grouped according to the country where they are located, e.g. Australia, Bangladesh, Canada, People's Republic of China, Fiji, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Japan, Malaysia, Netherlands, New Zealand, Pakistan, Philippines, Republic of Korea, Sri Lanka, Thailand, United Kingdom and United States of America.
