This publication of the Social Development Division provides profiles of national coordinating bodies on ageing, as well as of national/local, regional and international NGOs which have an interest in ageing and related issues.  It contains contact information of the organizations and serves as a directory of ageing organizations in the region. It has three parts:  (1) government national coordinating bodies on ageing,  (2) national/local NGOs working with and for older persons, and (3) regional and international NGOs involved in ageing issues. This publication is the first of two volumes of a source book on ageing.
