| Human resources forecasting and planning for information technology in Asia and the Pacific region are featured. Modern methods of workforce forecasting are reviewed and appropriate methods for human resource development planning for information technology are analysed. Propositions are made on how to formulate policies based on the predicted results. The IT workforce supply-demand, the growth in ecommerce and implications for the labour market and human resources development are examined. Recommendations for formulating HRD policies for IT are outlined.
