Recognizing the potential opportunity particularly in light of the recent movement towards coordinated development among GMS countries, ESCAP undertook a study on the tourism potential of the Mekong Rivers. The publication contains the findings of such a research which was conducted to address relevant issues in two major concerns: (a) Mekong River tourism planning; and (b) tourism-related travel facilitation.
