TRADE AND INVESTMENT POLICY
Services Offered


Provide advisory services to government agencies of the UNESCAP member and associate member countries, including:

  • WTO accession, implementation, Doha Round negotiations (agriculture, services, industrial goods, new issues) and the ongoing work programme;
  • Regional, subregional and inter-regional trade and investment-related matters;
  • National policy development and implementation, including export development (eg, trade facilitation, trade finance, SME export-readiness) and investment attraction.

Needs and gap analysis; policy development and implementation; whole-of-government coordination; consultation mechanisms; networking and coalition building; project design and implementation; WTO negotiations; identification, promotion and defence of negotiating interests; SME export development; investment attraction.
