In addition to providing regional support in the implementation
of global mandates and international agreements, UNESCAP’s
programme priorities also reflect various directives and mandates
of the Commission.
These work programme priorities relate to various economic and social
challenges that significantly confront the Asian and Pacific region,
but which may not be reflected as priorities at the global level.
