The
technical cooperation strategy of UNESCAP defines its technical
cooperation function as threefold: policy advocacy, technical
assistance and knowledge management. The Section’s project
activities follow an integrated approach, in which projects usually
combine all or most of these modalities. The projects are selected
in cooperation with stakeholders and partners and take account
of UNESCAP’s comparative advantage.
Intended outcomes fall within the following three main dimensions:
Identification, documentation and dissemination
of innovative practices in poverty reduction
Facilitation of the sharing of experiences
between countries so that they can learn from each other
Building the capacity of countries
to apply lessons learned and upscale good practices
