4th Asia-Pacific Urban Forum in Hanoi (12-14 October 2005)

Subregional Forums

Participants were divided into three groups according to subregions (East, South and South East Asia). Taking into account the presentations and discussions of the previous sessions, they were asked to prioritize issues of specific concern in their urban areas and to suggest concrete measures to be taken at the local level and at the national level, as well as modalities of cooperation by international organizations.

The goal of the subregional meetings was to provide inputs for the formulation of a technical cooperation agenda for achieving the MDGs in urban areas, reflecting the specific conditions of each sub-region.
