ESCAP’s mandate is to bring the region’s transport policy-makers together to discuss and develop strategies to overcome transport challenges.

Macroeconomic Policy and Development

ESCAP aims to accomplish increased national capacity to formulate and implement effective, sustainable and gender-responsible economic and development policies for achieving the Millennium Development Goals, particularly in the area of poverty reduction.
