Calling for submissions: UN Day Asia-Pacific Photo Contest 2017 - Building a stronger, safer and more sustainable Asia-Pacific
Building a stronger, safer and more sustainable Asia-Pacific
A picture speaks more than a thousand words. In conjunction with the United Nations Day 2017 celebration in Asia-Pacific, the UN is inviting anyone with a passion and flair for capturing stunning images to participate in a photo contest based on the theme ‘Building A Stronger, Safer and More Sustainable Asia-Pacific.’
Open to photographers of all ages, backgrounds and skills, the contest is an opportunity to share the unique perspectives and stories of communities around the region. Photo submissions must be based on challenges faced by communities in the Asia-Pacific region, or the approaches they are taking to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals on clean water and sanitation, affordable and clean energy, sustainable cities and communities, responsible consumption and production, and life on land.
The contest will be judged in four categories: Judges’ Favourite, Young Photographers, Most Popular and UN Staff. Winning entries will be exhibited at the UN Conference Centre in Bangkok during the UN Day Asia-Pacific commemoration on 31 October 2017 and at the 5th Asia-Pacific Forum for Sustainable Development in 2018.
Contest closes on 12 October 2017. Further details and the terms and conditions of the contest are available on: http://bit.ly/OurAsiaPacific
