The South-East Asia Flood Risk Reduction Forum was held on 20 February 2012, in Bangkok, Thailand, organized by the Information and Communications Technology and Disaster Risk Reduction Division (IDD) of the Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (ESCAP), and International Centre for Water Hazard and Risk Management (ICHARM) supported by Japan Space Exploration Agency (JAXA).
The objectives of the Forum were to share information and lessons learned from the 2011 Floods in South-East Asia, including the potential and actual application of Space applications and other technologies during such events.
