Preparatory Meeting for the High-level Expert Group Meeting towards Developing a Roadmap to Reduce Flood Disaster Risks in Pakistan,

This preparatory meeting will form a regional platform which will review the current floods situations in Pakistan, brainstorm on how and what collective regional expertise and experiences could contribute to increase floods resiliency in Pakistan, and develop a draft regional roadmap contributing to a High-level Expert Group Meeting to be jointly organized by the UN Country Team and the Government of Pakistan in early November.

The High-level EGM is to identify key components for the development of effective flood disaster risk reduction measures integrated into recovery and reconstruction plans in relevant sectors in Pakistan. Such identified areas in the EGM will be packaged into action plans (Roadmap) which will be contributed to national recovery and reconstruction plans of Pakistan.
