Meeting of the Regional Working Group on Drought Disaster Monitoring and Early Warning
23-24 November 2009

The meeting of the Regional Working group on Drought Disaster Monitoring and Early Warning will be held in Bangkok , Thailand from 23-24 November 2009.

The meeting aims to identify the priorities, functions and implementation modalities of the proposed regional cooperative mechanisms on drought disaster monitoring and early warning, as a precursor to formalizing a concept for discussion and future operational deployment of the regional cooperative mechanism on drought disaster monitoring and early warning.

Representatives from RESAP member states along with experts and representatives of various organizations are expected to attend the meeting.
