Objective
The objective of the meeting was to review the draft guidelines on ICT applications for trade and transport facilitation in landlocked and transit countries, share experiences, and make recommendations for the improvement of the guidelines. The guidelines identifies guiding principles and fundamental requirements, taking into account related aspects, such as ICT policy, ICT infrastructure, and legal, regulatory and institutional frameworks, in moving towards the paperless trading system. At the end of the meeting, draft National Plans of Actions were developed to initiate the electronic trade and transport facilitation processes at the national level.
