International Entrepreneurship Forum (IEF)

The International Entrepreneurship Forum 7th International Conference was organized by , OECD and Fudan University from 30-31 August 2007 at Fudan University, Shanghai. Under the theme of Asian Entrepreneurship: New Asian Ventures in the Global Community of Entreprise and Innovation, the Forum provided a unique opportunity to researchers to present their work on how innovations can be translated into business opportunities and enterpreneurship. Particularly interesting was the research presentations on Chinese business inculabors and science parks and the use of ICT among SMEs.

The Forum was followed by the Business to Business Networking Session organized at the Shanghai Fudan Science Park Innovation Center on 1 September 2007. The Session preseneted some of the successful ICT companies the Center has incubated and demonstrated their products. In the afternoon of the same day, the Light Houses Task Force Seminar on Open City Portal was organized to discuss the way forward and how to translate the political will of municipal bodies to the actual implementation of ICT at the local level.
