Services
In accordance with UNESCAP and UN
programme management policies, our technical cooperation
services are demand-driven – i.e. they must be requested
by, or through member governments. We focus on providing
assistance to developing member countries and member countries
in transition, with special attention being given to the
least developed country (LDC) members. Our services include:
- Advisory services in areas such
as multi-sectoral ICT policy development, information,
communication and space technology applications, in particular
Geographic Information System (GIS) applications
- Customised training in cooperation
with the requesting government and national institutions
in various countries, as well as training through TCDC
and other modalities
- Support for participation of
representatives of LDC governments in key regional and
global meetings
- ICSTD
provides regional advisory services in ICT Policies and
Strategies.
