The National Seminar on Capacity Building in Public Policy Issues of Internet Use for Business Development was held from 1 to 2 August 2007 in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia.
The event is co-organized and hosted by the Information and Communications Technology Authority (ICTA) of Mongolia and UNESCAP.
This Seminarp is one of the follow-up activities of the Regional Workshop on Capacity Building on the Use of Internet for Business Development in Asia and the Pacific, held on 18-20 October 2006 in Bangkok, in cooperation with the Asia-Pacific Development Information Programme of the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP-APDIP).
The main objective of this National Seminar was to use a set of training modules on the use of Internet for business development, discussed and developed during the Regional Workshop and improved after they were presented in previous National Workshops, that aims
- to serve as a policy making reference, for ICT and Internet policy makers and implementers of public policy issues of Internet governance in developing countries and countries with economies in transition in Asia and the Pacific,
- to build/enhance capacity of the participants of the national workshop,
- and also to further field test the modules for their further improvement and make them more user friendly and practicable.
