The regional workshop was held from 11 to 13 June 2007
in Xining, China and brought together international and local
participants to discuss on the promotion of knowledge sharing services
and networks in rural communities through community-based e-learning
facilities.
Objective
-
To review the study on the current status of
e-learning facilities and multi-purpose community e-centres;
-
To provide a forum for sharing of experiences and good
practices of knowledge sharing services and networks in rural
communities of the participating countries; and
-
To promote knowledge sharing services and networks to
government policy makers.
Output
To enhance understanding among policy makers regarding the
importance of knowledge sharing and knowledge networks.
