E-business Pilot Project Implementation

Project title:
E-business development for Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs ).

Project objective:
The project's objective is to increase export of Lao products through e-business.

Project brief:
LTPC is working to improve their web site www.laotrade.org.la by expanding the number of services that are offered to SMEs, offering more relevant services as well as support and building knowledge of ICT and awareness of the benefits of ICT for SME business development.

Who manages the project?
Lao Trade Promotion Center , in collaboration with the ICT Applications Section/Information, Communication and Space Technology Division of UNESCAP.

Target Groups
The primary target group is Lao SMEs that produce handicrafts such as silk/silk products, jewelry, handmade wood products etc.

Once the pilot project steps into its second phase, the target group focus will be shifted towards buyers, international online consumers and whole sale shoppers.
