Framework for Regional Cooperation on Space Technology Supported Disaster Reduction Strategies in Asia and the Pacific

How to become a RESAP Network Member ?


  • Regional Space Applications for Sustainable Development in Asia and the Pacific (RESAP) has 26 member countries from member and associate-member states of UNESCAP.
  • The Governments that are members or associate-members of ESCAP are eligible to become a member of RESAP network.
  • Any government organization to act as the National Focal Point (NFP) for RESAP and represent the country at activities under the regional cooperation network, should be nominated to UNESCAP through the formal channels of the government.
  • All members of Intergovernmental Consultative Committee (ICC) on RESAP, to provide UNESCAP with policy and technical advice for the most effective use of space-based technology and applications for achieving sustainable development in the region, shall designate two NFPs through formal credentials from the Government for participation in the ICC session. The NFP shall be mandated to make commitments on behalf of the Government.
