- Asian
Development Bank (ADB) - Gender and Development
- A multilateral development finance institution founded in 1966
to promote the social and economic progress of the Asian and Pacific
region. The ADB gives special attention to the needs of the smaller
or less-developed countries and priority to regional, subregional,
and national projects and programs

and Pacific Development Centre - Gender and Development Programme
(APDC/GAD)
- An autonomous inter-governmental regional institution for development
policy research, training, experience-exchange, information dissemination
and consultancy/advisory services, conceived as an institution

- Asian Women's Resource
Exchange (AWORC)
- An Internet-based women's information service and network in
Asia. It is an initiative geared towards developing cooperative
approaches and partnerships in increasing access and exploring
applications of new information and communication technologies
for women's empowerment.
- Center for Asia-Pacific Women in
Politics (CAPWIP)
- A non-partisan, non-profit and non-governmental regional organization
(NGO) established in 1992 operating through a network of national
affiliates clustered into five sub-regional groupings: Central
Asia, East Asia, Pacific, Southeast Asia, and South Asia. These
sub-regional focal points national affiliates are autonomous organizations
actively involved in women's political empowerment in their respective
countries. CAPWIP has committed itself to supporting its network
through technical assistance in organizational and program planning,
training, research and information sharing.

Information and Communication Service
- A feminist NGO dedicated to women’s information and communication
needs through documenting ideas and visions, creating channels
to communicate, collecting and moving information, networking
and building links. Isis focuses on those advancing women’s rights,
leadership and empowerment in Asia and the Pacific and keeps up
with changing trends and analyses concerning women worldwide.

Authorities-Asia Pacific Section World Wide Declaration on Women

- Strives to promote and unite democratic local government in
Asia and the Pacific while aspiring to develop and maintain a
strong democratic political organization and function as the advocate
and voice of democratic local government, the source of key information
and intelligence regarding democratic local government, as well
as, the source of learning, exchange and capacity building programmes
for democratic local government.

innovation in environmental management and clean, non-polluted
city environments, seeks to relieve urban slums, promote equitable
distribution of resources and encourage community participation
and works towards efficient budget allocation, revenue enhancement
and educating city officials on effective financial initiatives.

Fund for Women (UNIFEM)
- Promotes women's empowerment and gender equality, works to ensure
the participation of women in all levels of development planning
and practice and acts as a catalyst within the UN system, supporting
efforts that link the needs and concerns of women to all critical
issues on the national, regional and global agendas. UNIFEM focuses
its work at the country level, plays a strong advocacy role and
concentrates on fostering a multilateral policy dialogue on women's
empowerment.

for the Advancement of Women (DAW)
- Advocates the improvement of the status of the women of the
world and the achievement of their equality with men. It aims
to ensure the participation of women as equal partners with men
in all aspects of human endeavour, promotes women as equal participants
and beneficiaries of sustainable development, peace and security,
governance and human rights and strives to stimulate the mainstreaming
of a gender perspective both within and outside the United Nations
system.
