In the run-up to the Ninth WTO Ministerial Conference in Bali, the ESCAP High-Level Dialogue will explore the potential consequences of failure of the Doha Round of multilateral trade negotiations and to consider modalities to resolve the current deadlock in those negotiations. The dialogue will highlight critical issues for developing countries, especially least developed countries. Run as a Davos-style discussion, the panel will include senior officials (at the level of trade minister) from countries in the region, eminent academics and development practitioners, business leaders and representatives of relevant international organizations, including the WTO. The Dialogue is open for attendance by all those taking part in the Third Asia-Pacific Trade and Investment Week.
This event is open to the public. If you are interested in attending you can register to attend.
