Paving the way for SMEs in Myanmar

The Union of Myanmar Federation of Chambers of Commerce and Industry (UMFCCI), in collaboration with United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (ESCAP), the ESCAP Business Advisory Council (EBAC) and the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) with the support of the Hanns Seidel Foundation , is organizing a one-day event with focus on SMEs development in Myanmar, to be held at UMFCCI (Yangon, Myanmar) on Monday, 3 November 2014.

The event will be an occasion to share some of the progress and follow on actions of the Myanmar Business Development Week 2013. UNESCAP and UNIDO will present the progress in their work on SMEs development and data from the Myanmar Business Survey 2014. Moreover, the programme will include the pre-launch of the MYANMAR SMELINK , private sector initiative under the EBAC Sustainable Business Network. The afternoon programme will be dedicated to a 'B2B speed dating' session and a training, specifically targeting SMEs, on use and access of the MYANMAR SMELINK platform.
