While this statement can be seen as a compliment for the region’s quantitative achievements in the past, it could also be interpreted as an early warning on the need to pay more attention to the quality dimension of growth and development in the future, where there is still plenty of room for improvement.

This seminar on, "Asia as the Global Engine of Growth: A Compliment or an Early Warning or Both" was delivered by by Dr. Adrianus Mooy, one of the founders of Strategic Asia, a private consulting firm and Honorable Faculty Member of the Indonesian Banking Development Institute (LPPI). He is also the Senior Advisor/Mentor at Universitas Pelita Harapan, Rector at Universitas Pelita Harapan, Surabaya and Chairman of BANK NATIONALNOBU.
