High-level Policy Dialogue Preparatory to the Asia-Pacific Ministerial Conference on Regional Economic Integration
The Asia-Pacific Ministerial Conference on Regional Economic Integration took place in December 2013 by request of ESCAP member states, according to the ESCAP Resolution 68/10, “Enhancing regional economic integration in Asia and the Pacific”. The Ministerial Conference is mandated to review the theme study of the sixty-eight session of the Commission, entitled Growing Together: Economic Integration for an Inclusive and Sustainable Asia-Pacific Century.
The objective of the high-level policy dialogue was to exchange views and experiences, conduct detailed discussions of the policy recommendations of the Theme Study and identify areas in which to pursue further collaborative efforts. The outcome of the policy dialogue will be reflected in a draft declaration and plan of action to be further discussed and endorsed at the Ministerial Conference in December 2013.
