Expert Meeting on the Implementation of the Outcome of the Asia-Pacific High-level Intergovernmental Meeting on the Assessment of Progress against Commitments in the Political Declaration on HIV/AIDS and the Millennium Development Goals

The Asia-Pacific High-level Intergovernmental Meeting on Assessment of Progress against Commitments in the Political Declaration on HIV/AIDS and the Millennium Development Goals, that was convened in Bangkok from 6 to 8 February 2012, endorsed a regional framework for action, or “ESCAP roadmap to 2015,” to support the Asia-Pacific region in the implementation of the 2011 Political Declaration on HIV/AIDS and ESCAP resolutions 66/10 and 67/9. The objective of the Expert Group Meeting, consequently, is to review the implementation of ESCAP roadmap to 2015. The meeting will also be an opportunity to begin to define the preparatory process for the High-level Intergovernmental Meeting to review national efforts and progress in addressing the HIV epidemic to be convened in early 2015.
