Expert Group Meeting on Inclusive Development and Regional Cooperation in South and South-West Asia
As part of its mandate to foster analysis, capacity-building and policy dialogue to promote regional economic cooperation in support of inclusive and sustainable development in the subregion, the Subregional Office for South and South-West Asia of ESCAP (SRO-SSWA) is organizing an expert group meeting on Inclusive Development and Regional Cooperation in South and South-West Asia.
The meeting will bring together eminent experts from across South and South-West Asia to discuss recent analytical work on and policy implications of select development challenges facing the subregion. These issues include macro-economic outlook and challenges, inclusive development, trade and investment, regional economic integration and connectivity, food and energy security, disaster risk reduction and global partnership in support of Least Developed Countries in South and South-West Asia. The meeting will take place at the SRO-SSWA Conference Room on 30 and 31 July 2012.
