Expert Consultation on NEASPEC Transboundary Air Pollution Project
NEASPEC Transboundary Air Pollution Project is designed as a vehicle to facilitate joint scientific assessment and consultations among member States on a potential subregional framework for addressing transboundary air pollution. Thus, it involves processes for incorporating views of governments and experts into specific approaches and activities, thereby contributing to consensus- building among member States on a subregional framework.
In particular, the Project has carried out a modeling of source-receptor relationship covering the entire North-East Asia, and prepared technical papers on potential approaches and modalities of the framework for the review and decision by the 21st Senior Officials Meetings (SOM) to be held in early 2017.
In this connection, the Expert Consultation on NEASPEC Transboundary Air Pollution Project is planned to seek views of experts on potential approaches and modalities of policy scenarios through the Integrated Assessment Modeling (IAM).
