To widely propagate the significance and purpose of the International Year of the Aged.

Regarding the care for the aged: The People's Committees at all levels shall direct the functional agencies and units under their respective management to pay constant attention to and well carry out the work of caring for the aged in their respective localities. The Ministry of Labour, War Invalids and Social Affairs shall coordinate with the Ministry of Justice and the concerned ministry and branches in revising the current legal documents on the regimes and policies toward the age, in order to propose new ones for timely promulgation or appropriate amendments and supplements.

To assign the ministries and branches with specific responsibilities for carrying out activities relating to the aged, the Society of the Aged and the activities on the occasion of the International Year of the Aged.
