Improvement of Health Status of Mothers and Children
To
reduce the death rate of mothers and children by 20 per cent, public health
services must be improved and expanded to cover a large number of people.
Nutritional status of pregnant and lactating women, infants and pre-school
children will be improved. The targets for expanded services in rural and
urban areas are as follows:
