THE STATE MINISTER OF POPULATION/CHAIRMAN OF THE NATIONAL FAMILY PLANNING COORDINATING BOARD Assalamu'alaikum Wr. Wb. May we thank to God The Almighty that because of His blessing on April 16, 1992 the Law of the Republic of Indonesia Number 10 of 1992 concerning Population Development and the Development of Happy and Prosperous Families had been ratified. We would also like to thank to the President of the Republic of Indonesia and the members of the House of Representative, especially the VIII and X Commission of Functionaries Development Fraction, United Development Fraction, Indonesian Democratic Fraction and Armed Force Fraction together with all component concerned for their efforts in establishing this Law. This Law will strengthen the directions and the objectives of the National Family Planning Movement in the second stage of The Long Term Development to achieve a Balance Growth Population/Population without Growth by 2050. Furthermore, to optimize this Law effectively and efficiently, it is necessary to be understood and to be inspired especially by the organizers of the Family Planning Movement in the headquarter and provinces. For that purpose, this pocket book was published as a base to motivate and push ahead the participation of the community in development a happy and prosperous family. May God The Almighty be with us and gives His blessing and grant to all of us to continue the effort of making the people to be a self-sufficiently small, happy and prosperous family.
