Article
5 Home birth attendants
shall have the following qualifications:
1. Female citizen in good health conditions, aged 18-55, with a junior
high school education or equivalent;
2. Three months or longer professional training at medical schools or
maternal and child health- care institutions above county level, more
than one month of clinical practice and has independently practiced
as a birth attendant for more than five times under the guidance of
doctors.
3. Familiar with the technical regulations and procedures for maternal
health care formulated by the provincial public health administration.
